Using Ounie
Widgets
Put a brain on your own site. A small Ask bubble lets visitors ask questions and get grounded, cited answers — no account, no leaving the page.
How it works#
A widget is a brain-scoped, ask-only bubble you embed with a single script tag. Visitors type a question, and the answer comes back from that brain’s sources with citations, exactly as it would inside Ounie. The widget can read and answer, but never edit — it is a window onto one brain, not a way into your account.
Staying in control#
Each widget has an origin allowlist, so it only runs on the domains you name, and a daily question cap, so a busy day can’t run away from you. You pick the theme to match your site, and you can preview the live widget from your dashboard before it ever ships. Turn it off and the bubble stops answering everywhere it is embedded.
Credits and metering#
Public widget questions are paid for with prepaid credits from your wallet rather than your personal daily allowance, so visitor traffic never eats into your own asking. A per-brain cap lets you stop any single widget from draining the balance. Top up with credit packs at any time, on any plan.
Availability#
How many widgets you can run depends on your plan, and removing the “Powered by Ounie” badge is available on the top tier. Create and manage widgets from a brain’s settings. See pricing for current limits.
